We are incredibly pleased about the April 1st turn out for the Art Lending Library (ALL) event. This is our country’s first of its kind lending library of local and original artwork. It was the best public turnout yet and we at Youngstown and DNDA want to celebrate its growing success!
Completely free to the public, ALL operates just like a traditional book library. However, with this library card, the recipient gets to enjoy an original piece from a local artist for a check out period of four to six months. ALL takes care of the transportation and placement in your home. ALL you have to do is go to the library and pick out a great piece of art!
ALL, based here at Youngstown, has inspired similar projects in other cities such as Chicago and San Francisco. It’s a program we hope to see adopted across America.
