About the Event
Join DNDA’s Nature team at EC Hughes every day the week of Seattle Public Schools’ spring break for a week of community service!
We’ll be working Monday through Friday, 10a to 1p each day, allowing students to obtain community service hours, and help the environment!
Attend any and all days for a maximum of 15 service hours. Restoration work this time of year may involve removing invasive plants, mulching recent plantings, and other tasks. Specific activities depend on site needs.
What to bring:
- Please dress appropriately with long pants, warm and dry layers, closed-toed shoes and rain gear as needed. We work rain or shine!
- Bring any water you might want during the volunteer event
- If you have your own pair of work gloves, feel free to bring them. If not, we will have plenty
- Signed youth waiver form, if under 18
What we provide:
- Tools
- Gloves
- Light snacks
- Training on restoration activity and safety talk
