About the Event
Join DNDA for a morning of park stewardship, nature-based art, and educational activities around Roxhill Bog!
Come to the park to join us for a morning of trail maintenance, trash pickup, and art activities. We’ll also be sharing information about upcoming construction at the park!
What to bring:
- Please dress appropriately with long pants, warm and dry layers, closed-toed shoes and rain gear as needed. We work rain or shine!
- Bring any water you might want during the volunteer event
- If you have your own pair of work gloves, feel free to bring them. If not, we will have plenty
- Signed youth waiver form, if under 18
What we provide:
- Tools
- Gloves
- Light snacks
- Training on restoration activity and safety talk
Location: 2850 SW Roxbury St
Driving Directions:
From I-5 or Route 99 (heading north or south)
* Take the West Seattle Bridge exit off either highway.
* From the bridge take the Delridge Way SW/South Seattle Comm. College exit (right hand exit).
* Stay to your left to exit onto Delridge Way SW.
* From Delridge Way SW, turn onto SW Barton Street, heading west
* Turn left onto 29th Ave SW
* Street parking available on either side of the street here and in the park lot before the intersection with SW Cambridge St
* Our staff will meet volunteers south of the bathroom structure near the playground.
Busing Directions: Accessible by Rapid Ride C route and Metro routes 21, 60, 120, 125 and 560
