Forest Restoration in the West Duwamish Greenbelt: MLK Day of Service – Registration FULL

Join us in partnering with United Way of King County. You and your fellow volunteers will participate in fun, hands-on conservation work led by staff from DNDA’s Nature Consortium program in the West Duwamish Greenbelt. As part of our 2019 MLK Day of Service Event, work may include removing invasive plants, planting native species, and mulching new plantings.

This day will be accompanied by live musicians, bringing the arts and nature together for our enjoyment! We will also provide pizza at the end to celebrate everyone’s hard work.

What to Bring:

-Wear long pants

-Warm and dry layers

-Closed-toed shoes

-Water bottle

-Youth Waiver form signed if under 18

 

What’s Provided:

-Work gloves

-Tools

-Snacks (granola bars/fruit)

-Extra water to fill your bottles

-Onsite training and safety talk

-Music

-Pizza (at the end)
