Join Our Environmental Justice Summer Program!

Sharing is caring!

We’re launching a new environmental program this summer in South Seattle and we’re looking for some enthusiastic teens to join it! DNDA’s Nature team is launching an exciting new program at Roxhill Park and Bog next month that will engage youth in topics around environmental justice.

Our Environmental Justice Summer Youth Program will run from July 5 to August 25, with program hours from 10 am to 3 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. At the end of the program, participants will receive a $2,000 stipend!

Teens will spend the summer learning more about the historical ecology of our local landscape and participate in discussions and hands-on activities related to local environmental justice issues. This program will also help youth build leadership skills, through community projects at Roxhill Park and Bog.

This program is targeted for youth in the High Point neighborhood or close proximity. However, youth from other parts of the Delridge and South Seattle areas may be accepted if there is space. The program is capped at 10 youth.
