Delridge Business District

For many reasons, businesses along Delridge Way have unmet needs for which DNDA is working to find resources, remedies and on-going support. DNDA is committed to serving community members and organizations throughout Delridge. Our latest project is to support Delridge small-business owners as they seek to empower and formulate a Delridge Business District. It is our vision that the district will be presided over by a community-driven, locally operated organization composed of small-business owners throughout Delridge. Such an organization would oversee the allocation of funds and resources for purposes of financing projects that invest in the health of Delridge businesses and the greater community.

Currently, the development of a Delridge Business District is in its formative year. DNDA is supporting Delridge businesses by creating connections to city services and by increasing organizational capacity.  We are also looking to identify funding for neighborhood improvement projects. Through a Seattle Office of Economic Development Only in Seattle 2018 grant, DNDA will support small-businesses in their effort to 1) formalize a business district ‘identity’ 2) create a healthier business climate, and 3) strengthen curb appeal standards in all four nodes of the Delridge Corridor.
