Tet Nhi Dong Children's Moonlight Festival

Sharing is caring!

This past Sunday was a very special Vietnamese celebration, the Tet Nhi Dong Children’s Moonlight Festival, which took place at the Vietnamese Cultural Center in West Seattle. There were various activities and performances throughout the day starting with a bilingual flag salute done in both English and Vietnamese by Boy Scout Troop 286.  After that was a performance by the The Van Hanh Lion Dance team followed by an all-girl dance group from the Van Lang Vietnamese Cultural school who performed multiple Vietnamese dances. The evening ended with singing, food, and a children’s lantern parade! DNDA was happy to help support this wonderful event as part of the Cultural Events Series and would like to thank our sponsors, the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods  and the West Seattle Time Bank for making this possible. Look out for DNDA’s next event in the Cultural Series: Dia De Los Muertos Celebration on November 1st!
