Leap Day in DNDA’s Croft Forest

You and your fellow volunteers will celebrate the once-every-28-years occurrence of Leap Day falling on a Saturday by participating in fun, hands-on conservation work led by staff with DNDA’s Urban Forest Restoration Program. Restoration work includes removing invasive plants, planting native species, and mulching new plantings, depending on the restoration progress in each site.

What to Bring: Please dress appropriately with long pants, warm and dry layers, closed-toed shoes and rain gear as needed. We provide gloves, tools, a light granola bar snack (feel free to bring a lunch) and a jug of water. Please bring a refillable water bottle.

What we provide: tools, gloves, training and safety talk, water and granola bars
