EcoArts Spring Break Nature Camp

Calling all kids interested in art and outdoor adventures in West Seattle —
Join DNDA's Art team for the EcoArts Nature Camp this spring break!

Kids will discover the fusion between arts and nature at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center and neighboring outdoor sites. Activities include making seed paper journals, learning to photograph nature, and much more! Campers will also go on a field trip to Camp Long to learn rock climbing. 

WHO: Kids ages 7-12 years old
WHAT: DNDA's EcoArts Spring Break Nature Camp
WHEN: April 8-12, 2024, from 9am-3pm
COST: $500 (additional childcare services available)

Watercolor Mixed-Media Art Classes

Head to Youngstown Cultural Arts Center (room 105) every Wednesday from 6-8pm for watercolor mixed-media art classes. Join us for an imperfect artistic exploration using watercolors, printmaking, acrylics, collages, drawing, and more!

No cost to attend, donate what you can to DNDA. Classes taught by DNDA Teaching Artist Erin Kollar. All ages welcome and no experience required. DNDA will provide tea and art supplies. We encourage you to bring your friends, family, and snacks!

Updated EcoArts Classes at Youngstown Flyer (Feb. 2024)

EcoArts Classes

Come to Youngstown from 5-7pm* every Thursday with your family and friends to create art using natural materials. Projects have included creating biodegradable clay sculptures, making seed papers, and much more.

Each class is led by one of our resident teaching artists part of DNDA's affordable housing program for artists at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center, including Franc Monke. We are looking forward to exploring all the possibilities of EcoArts with you! All ages welcome and no experience required. 

Classes are free, donations to DNDA are encouraged. Donations go directly to paying equitable wages to the teaching artists who lead our art classes and into our broader Delridge community through Art programs.

Youngstown Cultural Arts Center is an inclusive contemporary multi-arts hub in the Delridge Neighborhood of Southwest Seattle that incubates the arts, art-makers, and organizations from our multicultural, inter-generational communities in order to engage in civic dialogue and meaningful community transformation.

A school for 80 years, and a cultural arts center for the past 13 years, Youngstown has been at the heart of the neighborhood, and a symbol of community, education and the power of art for generations.
