Registration Open for FUSION Spring Nature Camp

Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association and its Nature Consortium program are now accepting sign-ups for the Fusion Spring Nature Camp taking place April 9th through April 13th, the period when Seattle public schools are on break. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and is open to kids between the ages of 6 and 12. Registration costs $300.

The program will be based at Camp Long, a 68-acre urban forest, public park and campground. The curriculum is designed to teach visual art, crafts, and creative movement. Classes are designed to be fun and gentle with age-appropriate physical, emotional, and social skills, as well as exploring vocabulary, visual art, photography, movement and music.

A sample daily schedule:

9:00am – 9:30am Warm up activity (games and activities in classroom)
9:30am – 2:30pm Camp program (walking field trips, typically spending much of the day outside, also includes lunch break*)
2:30pm – 3:00pm Closing activity and snack (sketch journals for a reflective time)
*Families should provide a morning snack and a sack lunch, we will provide an afternoon snack
