Nature Consortium becomes an affiliate of Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association (DNDA)

Sharing is caring!

Dear Friends of Nature Consortium,

I am writing to share very exciting news with you! In April, a very special meeting took place. Board and staff leaders from both Nature Consortium and the Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association (DNDA) met to discuss a vision for the future. Through on-going discussions it easily became apparent that the long partnership and collaboration between Nature Consortium and DNDA holds tremendous potential for both organizations.

This is what became apparent to all of us:

  • We care about the same things: connecting people to arts and nature.
  • Nature Consortium’s resources and expertise strengthens DNDA’s focus on greenspace preservation and environmental pursuit, complementing DNDA’s history of success in providing affordable housing and arts and cultural opportunities in West Seattle.
  • And, together we can do more for the shared community we serve by combining our resources to address the educational, health, and economic disparities that exist in Delridge.

For all of these reasons, I am very happy to announce that Nature Consortium has become an affiliate of Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association and I will be stepping down from my role as the executive director at Nature Consortium effective May 17th. You can read the press release here. Click here to learn more about DNDA!

I have loved the work that we have been able to do at Nature Consortium over the past year. Together the staff and board have led Nature Consortium to greater strength and increased service to the community. Throughout our efforts, passion and commitment to our mission has been our guide

I want to sincerely thank the leadership and staff of Nature Consortium for the wonderful privilege I’ve had to work with and lead such an amazing team. I have worked alongside impressively professional and compassionate colleagues that have challenged me and facilitated my professional growth and development. I have equally enjoyed coming to work each day engaging and encouraging staff in their personal and professional growth. I will never forget the time that I have been so fortunate to share with you.

Sincerely,

Merica Whitehall
