Spoken Word Night - Honoring Black History Month
We are excited to invite you to DNDA's Spoken Word Night in celebration of Black History Month. This event will feature Seattle-based poet, teacher, and spoken word artist Chelsey Richardson. Chelsey's work is grounded in the notion that her role as an artist is to tell the bittersweet truth. Her book All Water Has Perfect Memory will be released on February 27th.
This night will also highlight Seattle-based musician Brandon Marsalis, and dancer Afua Kouyate! Afua is the co-founder of Kouyate Arts, an interactive, intriguing, and amazing experience of the arts, music, dance, culture, and life of the people of West Africa. Join us on Zoom on February 18th from 6:00-7:30 for this very special event.
