Arts in Nature Festival

This year’s Arts in Nature Festival was one of the best yet. Cloud Cult headlined the weekend with a double-feature performance in Camp Long’s rustic lodge.

Giving Thanks to Our Founder

We said goodbye to our beloved founder, Nancy Whitlock, this year. Nancy has been an inspiring leader and advocate for the arts and the environment. We threw her a send-off party in November to show our appreciation and see her off on her next adventure.

Our 15th Anniversary

2013 marked our 15th year as an organization, and we marked the occasion with a big benefit bash called Deep Roots. The event went off with record-breaking success, and we invite you to join us again next year for our Sweet Sixteen benefit bash.

Reaping Our Garden Harvest

What a great growing year we’ve had! This year in the Yesler garden we harvested kale, lavender, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, and many more. We take students through the process of planting, watering, measuring, harvesting, and cooking delicious organic produce.

Clips Beer & Film Tour

We teamed  up with our friends at New Belgium Brewing to host a record-breaking beer-and-movies event at Gas Works Park. It was such a blast. Join us for next year’s event on July 25, 2014.

Earth Day

Over 500 volunteers joined us in the West Duwamish Greenbelt to celebrate Earth Day this year, helping us make a huge impact in one day.

Introducing Our New Executive Director

We are so proud to introduce Renee S. Mona to the Nature Consortium family. If you haven’t had a chance to meet her, stop by our office in the new year and say hello.
