My Special Family Tradition
Nature Consortium’s Arts in Nature Festival was my first experience with the organization. On a summer’s day in 1998, my pre-adolescent sons and I happened upon this colorful, eclectic event taking place at Lincoln Park.
We joined in the fun surrounded by music and laughter, and then, in the afternoon, a sudden HUGE downpour of rain drenched us! The boys and I pitched in taking down displays and tables, and that was how I joined NC.
In the years since then, I have had the pleasure of attending almost every festival, and it’s become a wonderful tradition.
You, like me and thousands of others, may have fond memories experiencing the creative arts with all of our senses in the outdoors at Camp Long, going on nature hikes, watching wildlife and listening to guitar by the pond. Moments which stick out over the years are dancing to folk classics in the lodge, watching performers on the climbing rock, and experiencing the wonderful art installations in the cabins that ring the campground.
Are you like me and want to continue the tradition?
I want to support the Arts in Nature festival, to see the familiar faces that come back, and enjoy the music and art from talented performers! Nature Consortium deserves our continued support, and I urge you to make a donation today.
