Creative Arts Camp: Deaf Spotlight Camp
DAY CAMP DATES: July 16 – 20, 2018
Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3pm
Deaf Spotlight will offer a creative arts day camp for the DHHKODA youth (age range 8 to 13) this summer (July 16 – 20, 2018) for 1 week. There will be an art showcase on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 3 PM. Deaf Spotlight will lead the camp with Deaf instructors specializing in the creative arts. The camp location will be in West Seattle. You are responsible for your own lodgings and transportation.
Youths will have opportunities to learn different art disciplines: illustration, drama, photography, painting, ASL Literature (poetry, folklore, and storytelling), and the history and culture of Deaf arts.
There is no cost for attendance and lunch will be provided. The total cost of the camp is provided by Deaf Spotlight, with additional support from donors and funders. Contributions are appreciated to ensure the ongoing operation of Deaf Arts Camp.
