Call For Artists: 2015 Arts in Nature Festival

The Arts in Nature Festival is an intimate and eclectic experience of art and performance in the woods of Seattle’s only camp ground. Nature Consortium is now seeking local Seattle and King County-based artists to participate in this year’s festival.

Perform at the Festival
Musicians, performers, theatre and dance troupes are wanted for performances in the Lodge, at the Pond, in the Meadow, and on the Glacier. Performances must be acoustic and unplugged, though you may bring your own small battery-powered amp. Artist fees are $50 per performer per 45-60 minute performance with a cap of $250 per group.
Installations at the Festival
Sound and multimedia artists can apply to create weekend-long installations in the Museum of Sound that takes place in 8 rustic cabins throughout Camp Long. Installations must have an audio component and must be open and staffed from 11am-7pm on Saturday, 8/22 and 11am-6pm on Sunday, 8/23. Installation set-up hours will take place Friday, 8/21 from 11am-8pm and Saturday, 8/22 from 8-11am. Artist fees are $300 for the weekend. Artists are welcome to spend the night in their cabin Friday and Saturday night.
Additional space is available for outdoor visual art installations.
