Giving thanks to our community
As Thanksgiving nears, we’d like to take time to think about everything we have to be thankful for. It’s been a great year here at Nature Consortium, full of new faces, new opportunities, and new ideas. We are thankful to have such a great community of support every step of the way.
Most of all, we’re thankful for YOU, our supporters, volunteers, donors, staff, neighbors, and friends who inspire us every day. You believe in our mission and share our passion for creating community through art and nature. Together, we can fulfill our vision of creating a more artful and sustainable world.
“I’m thankful for the support and love that I get from family and friends. AND am super thankful for my down comforter that has been doing a great job of keeping me warm as the colder weather approaches.” – Lili Allala, Restoration Director
“I am thankful for the abundance of fresh and healthy food in my community. Through farmer’s markets, co-ops, and urban gardens, I am lucky enough to enjoy delicious and local food on a regular basis. With 800 million people starving across the world, I never take having enough to eat for granted—and I’m especially grateful for being able to eat in a sustainable way that’s good for our Earth, my community, and my body.” – Amy Truax, Grant Manager
“This holiday, while there are many things to be thankful for, I am especially thankful for the people and relationships in my life that help bring me sustained happiness and carry me through harder times. ” – Ryan Applegate, Associate Director
“I’m really thankful for the people I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with this year, new friends and old. This being my first year out of college, I’m really taking in what the world has to offer. I feel fortunate that there are so many great people around me to have fun and share stories with.” – Monica Thomas, Outreach & Media Coordinator
