Now in Restoration: DNDA’s Croft Forest
Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association and the Nature Consortium program are excited to announce that we are hosting three additional restoration events this summer!
This extra dose of restoration work will take place in DNDA’s Croft Forest, located directly behind the Croft Place Townhomes at the junction of Delridge Way SW and SW Holly St. The Croft Forest is part of the Longfellow Creek watershed and our restoration activities here will have real impacts on water quality and downstream habitat for spawning salmon.
Our events will focus on cleaning up the forest of trash and removing invasive plant species such as Himalayan blackberry. These events will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on alternating Fridays. A lunch will follow each event from 1 to 2 p.m. Restoration events will take place on:
- Friday, July 12th
- Friday, July 26th
- Friday, August 9th
