Saturday October 18th
After a brief introduction and demonstration we got right to work removing Himalayan blackberry. We focused our attention on a 1031 sq ft area that needed to be maintained.
We removed many root bulbs, and it didn’t take long for clear patches to appear.
After the blackberry was removed we put down cardboard to prepare for sheet mulching. A brass band entertained us while we worked .
The mulch really pulled everything together, the area looks great!!!
Once we finished mulching we planted 23 Western red cedars.
By the end of the day there was a significant difference in both of our work sites. Thanks again every one for coming out!!!
