Hello, from Events Manager, Erika Bell!
Hey, everyone! I’m Erika, the proud, new Events Manager at Youngstown! I am so honored to join this community and family.
I hail from The Land of Cubicles, where banking, operations and administrative work abound! I’ve been a member of numerous teams responsible for research and reconciling of various types of accounts, legal order processing, records management, customer service and lots more. My teammates and I were a successful unit, and my one-and-a-half decades of corporate experience have produced a strong work ethic and foundation. So, in this new role, I’m eager to discover the creative, new ways in which my skills can be applied.
Community-wise and personally, I’ve been a choir member and instructor, a choreographer, and involved in outreach, events planning and music entertainment, in Washington and other states, for most of my life. While my profession has always appealed to my technical side, my connection to community has always felt more like my life path. Through working with youth, singing in nursing homes, collaborations on various projects, songwriting and otherwise, I discovered my passion, which brought a sense of purpose; and the chord that runs through it all — as I’m sure you’ve noticed — has been a love of music. This has been my main means of connecting with the world around me.
With the entrance of Youngstown into my life comes a beautiful opportunity to marry The Administrative with Community Focus. It’s one thing to have a hobby of doing what you like, but to have it be a profession is a whole other thing. I feel very fortunate to have found the latter.
And CAN I JUST SAY… The Youngstown Community is made of the sweetest, most friendly people ever?! You all are great! THANK YOU so much for the warm welcome. And to those of you I haven’t met, please stop by and say Hi!
I’m happy to be here, and am super excited for the future!
Be well,
Erika Bell
