Birds of Roxhill Park: Community Presentation and Tours
Discover your local birds, how to identify them, when and where to find them.
Join Seattle Audubon’s Master Birders Etta Cosey and Wendy Walker on two Saturdays this July for bird identification information and activities at Roxhill Park!
- Saturday, July 16 (9:00a to 10:00a) will feature a bird presentation about habitat needs of local birds, how to identify them, where and when to find them, and feature a mini bird walk in the natural area. Registration is not required.
- Saturday, July 30 (9:00a to 10:00a) will involve a longer bird walk through the park, observing and identifying our local birds that visit and live in the park along with their habitat choices for food, nesting and roosting needs. Registration is required for this event.
Location: Roxhill Park (9234 29th Ave SW, Seattle, 98126) We will meet next to the play area by the parking lot. This is a very easy, short walk. Comfortable clothing and shoes are suggested. Bring binoculars, if you have them. These events are free and open to all ages.
