“Ghost Game: The Wild Hunt,” A Haunting Aerial Cabaret
Every day at Youngstown, I see adult students coming and going from classes of all types: fitness, martial arts, painting, music, and more. Seeing so many students enjoying community activities at Youngstown makes me want to sign up for a class myself.
I had previously taken aerial arts classes in Chicago, so am always on the lookout for similar opportunities in new cities. Naturally, I was thrilled to learn that the Cabiri troupe holds aerial classes right here in the Youngstown Movement Studio! The art form is beautiful to watch, challenging to learn, and offers immense benefits in strength training and fitness. But before joining a class, I am even more excited to watch Cabiri in their upcoming performance, scheduled to run Oct. 25th through Nov. 3rd in Youngstown’s Thelma DeWitty Theatre.
This will be Cabiri’s seventh annual Halloween cabaret. Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I was particularly excited to learn about this spectacular event. The show, Ghost Game: The Wild Hunt, is a collection of haunting stories from ancient mythology, performed by aerialists, acrobats, and dancers. The performers will bring to life dazzling tales of fearsome hunters and their hunted prey, while mesmerizing audiences with their impressive aerial skills.
And don’t forget to come to the show hungry! Ghost Game: The Wild Hunt is an evening of dessert theatre, so you’ll be served yummy treats as you enjoy the show. But be warned, the show is not for young kids; tickets will only be made available to ages 16 and up. So, find a babysitter for the little ones and come on over to Youngstown around Halloween. It’s sure to be an exciting evening, plus it will give you an idea of what Cabiri’s students get to work on in class. Who knows– maybe you’ll be inspired to learn some new skills yourself!
All shows begin at 8pm, with seating starting at 7:30pm. Attend on Halloween Night, Oct. 31st, to participate in the costume contest for a chance to win fabulous prizes! Shows are expected to sell out, so get your tickets today at Brown Paper Tickets.
